Shakira ya ha estrenado de forma oficial su esperado single de regreso, ‘Don’t Wait Up’, que llega cuatro años después de su último trabajo discográfico (‘El dorado’) y después de diferentes colaboraciones como ‘Me gusta’ junto a Anuel AA, ‘Tutu (Remix)’ junto a Camilo y Pedro Capó o ‘Girl Like Me‘ junto a The Black Eyed Peas.
El single de presentación del nuevo disco de Shakira ha sido producido por Ian Kirkpatrick (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo) y viene acompañado de una portada diseñada por María P. Marulanda con fotografía de Iván Monagas. ‘Don’t Wait Up’ es el primer sencillo que Shakira edita en inglés y en solitario desde ‘Dare (La La La)’ en 2014.
Esto es lo que ha comentado la artista sobre el single: “Me emociona compartir mi nueva canción ‘Don’t Wait Up’ con todo el mundo – el día que la creamos en el estudio, ¡yo sabia que le quedaría perfecta al verano y esas noches donde no quieres pensar en el mañana!”.
El tema viene acompañado de un videoclip oficial de ‘Don’t Wait Up’, que ha sido rodado en Tenerife. La cantante colombiana se hospedó varios días en Abama Resort Tenerife en el municipio de Guía de Isora, donde grabó algunas de las imágenes más memorables del cortometraje.
