Adele fue la gran triunfadora de los Billboard Awards 2012, que se celebraron la noche del domingo en el casino y hotel MGM de Las Vegas.
A pesar de su ausencia en la gala, la cantante se llevó un total de doce galardones, includos los de mejor artista y mejor álbum. LMFAO también fueron reconocidos con seis premios, Lil Wayne, Lady GaGa y Coldplay con cuatro, y Jason Aldean y Casting Crowns con otros dos cada uno.
Estos premios reconocen la labor de los artistas en función de sus ventas y la popularidad que hayan tenido sus canciones en las listas de éxitos estadounidenses.
