Alicia Keys ha querido sumarse a la larga lista de artistas que están estrenando nueva música estas semanas en apoyo a todos los que están luchando contra el COVID-19.
La cantante estadounidense ha estrenado el tema ‘Good Job’, una canción compuesta el año pasado junto a su marido, el productor Swizz Beatz. El tema fue escrito originalmente para rendir homenaje a los héroes olvidados que formaron parte de la vida de Keys, como su propia madre —que siendo madre soltera luchó para sacar adelante a sus hijos en el barrio de Hell’s Kitchen de Nueva York— y muchos otros que, a menudo, ella veía ignorados. A raíz de la actual pandemia mundial, Alicia se dio cuenta de que su mensaje coincidía con el momento que estamos viviendo.
“Ya sea que estés en primera línea en los hospitales, combinando trabajo, familia y educación en casa; entregando correo, paquetes o alimentos o enfrentando otras dificultades personales debido al COVID-19, estoy contigo. La gente te ve, te quiere y aprecia profundamente”, ha dicho Keys.
La canción se usará para la nueva campaña ‘Heroes‘ de la CNN, que rinde homenaje a las personas corrientes que se han convertido en héroes durante la crisis del COVID-19.
