La cadena MTV ya ha hecho pública la lista de videoclips nominados a los MTV Video Music Awards 2019, cuya nueva edición se celebrará el próximo 26 de agosto por primera vez en Newark (Nueva Jersey).
Ariana Grande y Taylor Swift parten como favoritas de esta edición con un total de diez candidaturas, seguidas de cerca por las grandes revelaciones del último año, Billie Eilish y Lil Nas X, que consiguen nueve nominaciones.
Destaca también la presencia de Rosalía en tres candidaturas, incluyendo la de mejor artista y mejor coreografía por el vídeo de ‘Con altura’. Nunca antes un artista español ha ganado un premio en los VMAs por lo que Rosalía podría ser la primera en conseguirlo.
Además, Missy Elliott recibirá el premio especial Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, que reconoce su extensa trayectoria en el ámbito de los videoclips en sus más de dos décadas de carrera musical.
