Olivia Rodrigo continúa triunfando con su primer trabajo discografico, ‘SOUR‘, que actualmente supera los 3 millones de unidades equivalentes en todo el mundo desde su lanzamiento el pasado mes de mayo.
El álbum ha sido co-escrito en su integridad por Olivia. Para Rodrigo, uno de los placeres de la vida es hurgar de forma consciente en el desamor. “No hay nada comparable a sentarse al piano en mi habitación y componer una canción muy triste,” dice. “Es lo que más me gusta del mundo; resulta motivador ver como mi música puede influir en las personas y quizás serles de ayuda para superar la soledad.”
“Estoy fascinada con la idea de una relación que se amarga—cómo una persona que quieres mucho y a la que has contado todos tus secretos se puede convertir en alguien que no soportas,” Y esto es lo que ha comentado Olivia sobre el título del disco. “Para mi el objetivo de la música es tomar todos estos sentimientos tan complejos y exteriorizarlos de modo que las personas se sientan reflejadas.”
Siguiendo con la promoción del disco, la artista ha estrenado el videoclip oficial de otra de las canciones que mayor streams acumula hasta el momento, ‘traitor‘, un tema compuesto por la cantante junto al productor Daniel Nigro que se da a conocer con un vídeo dirigido por Olivia Bee.
