El póximo 22 de noviembre se celebrará en el Microsoft Theatre de Los Angeles la 43ª entrega de los American Music Awards en una gala muy especial que será presentada por Jennnifer Lopez.
Estos premios se crearon en 1973 como alternativa a los Grammy, presentándose como los galardones que deciden los propios consumidores de música por encuesta popular, dejando a un lado el criterio de los profesionales del sector. Por lo general, los AMA suelen ser destinados a los artistas más populares del momento, independientemente de si destacan por su calidad o simplemente por haber tenido una buena promoción previa.
La lista de nominados a los American Music Awards 2015 aparece liderada este año por Taylor Swift, que acumula seis candidaturas, entre ellas, a Artista del Año y Single del Año por ‘Blank Space‘. Le siguen Ed Sheeran y John Legend con otras cinco nominaciones.
